If you are not a dentist or hygienist, this book will probably open your eyes to a world that you previously knew very little, or perhaps nothing, about. Knowledge is power they say and lack of knowledge would put you in a very precarious position. Having this book can save you time, pain and money. Not having this book... Well, I don't want to be too negative.
What can I say about this? I have spent a great deal of my time helping people to understand that gum disease is the number one threat to their dental health (in most cases). However, I have also learned that even though that is true, most people are not willing to listen until they know they have a problem.
I'm hoping you are smarter than the average person. Maybe you are someone who understands that the health of our mouths is tied to health of our bodies. Many people still don't get that. You are different, right?
